I get it for all the oral forms. My teeth are basically gone and I used to have a pretty smile. Period. I had a beautiful smile, and I worked in professional positions, which I can no longer do. Little did we know Suboxone wasnt going to be the magic pill we all thought it would be. There were ZERO articles linking the tooth decay(actually denying it). I had beautiful teeth before I started this medication and I never had any dental issues either until I started suboxone. Im absolutely devastated.. this doesnt seem so fair :(, I have been on suboxone since 2016, Im in the process of being tapered off of it. I took good care of my teeth even while I was using. Ive spent more time. Im a vet tech and I do not make even close to enough to cover that. In 10 years I've never once had a medical provider tell me about the potential dental problems caused by this medication. Someone needs to be held accountable in this because my dentist bills itself have cost me so much. Very frustrating and horrible for the self-esteem. I still have more work due. These medicines are available as tablets and films to be placed under the tongue or on the inside of the cheek and kept there until completely dissolved. These people need to pay for the harm they have caused us! So much that my dentist said as along as I keep taking care of them I may never need major dental work. I am 37 and have been embarrassed for 4 years! After 9 years of being on Suboxone my smile is something I intentionally hide from the world out of fear of being judged or made fun of.
